Job Summary
Design, integrate and test electro-mechanical systems and sub systems starting with specifications through final test and characterization documentation. Characterize systems for performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design complex electro-mechanical systems. Design activities include: creating Plumbing and Instrumentation Diagrams for large scale capital equipment (especially wet and dry systems), electrical interconnects, I/O lists, interlock matrices, software specifications, OEM sub-system specifications, as well as tool specifications. Responsible for test documentation and characterization documentation.

Responsible for 3rd party safety certification process. Having thorough knowledge of industry safety specifications such as SEMI S2, ISO 12100, NFPA79, EMC, and CE Mark.

Manage suppliers for delivery of complex electro-mechanical and fluid delivery sub-systems. Able to manage on-site or off site tool builds including assembly and testing.

Ability to characterize system and sub-system performance and reliability. Hands on experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. Have thorough working knowledge of control systems and communication protocols such as PLC software, DeviceNet, and RS 232/485.

Working knowledge of packages such as: AutoCAD, SolidWorks. Labview programming experience a definite plus.
Minimum Requirements

BS ME, EE, Physics or related technical discipline

10-15+ years of relevant industry experience depending on candidates qualifications

Experience in and understanding of semiconductor processing, experience in wet semiconductor processing

Demonstrated ability to innovate and resolve complex problems.

Hands on experience of working with, debugging and fixing semiconductor tools

Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work independently, ability to work closely with others including customers
