Screening Methodology
Intermolecular's HPC screening methodology is a three-step process designed to perform a systematic narrowing of the optimal R&D solution space. At the early stages of material screening, high-throughput processing, characterization and data analysis are used to eliminate materials and/or processes that do not meet the specified requirements. By asking and answering only those questions that are absolutely necessary at each stage of development, our customers are able to quickly and effectively move towards a solution with the highest probability of meeting the final process or device requirements. At the more advanced stages of screening, HPC methods can be combined with traditional materials processing. This ensures process transparency and enables a smooth transition from development to pilot production and high-volume manufacturing.

Massively Parallel Processing
The miniaturization of experiments and site-isolated parallel and/or rapid serial processing allows customers to conduct multiple automated experiments on a single substrate.
Throughput Matched Characterizations
We use proprietary test chips and a state-of-the-art, automated metrology and e-test infrastructure to rapidly characterize physical and electrical performance, and to match the throughput of our HPC processing systems.
Automation & Analysis Informatics
Our comprehensive Web-based Informatics system serves as a backbone for centralized data collection and analysis, as well as for the integration of processing and characterization tools that accelerate learning rates by several orders of magnitude.
